Women's Philanthropy

Philanthropy is at the core of AWF’s mission to be a catalyst for change in the lives of women and girls.  We believe philanthropy is that catalyst.  Joining our resources increases our collective impact and helps to create positive, sustainable change for Atlanta’s women and girls.

AWF works alongside many organizations dedicated to both increasing the impact of women in philanthropy and providing philanthropic dollars to programs supporting women and girls.  Click here to read a recent article on the history of women's philanthropy in the southeast featuring AWF.

AWF is one of six women's funds who explored the connections between Faith, Feminism and Philanthropy, through a four-year initiative funded by the Ruth Ray Hunt Memorial Fund. Read how this ground-breaking national initiative brought together women from diverse backgrounds in respectful dialogue.
