Community Forums

AWF’s Community Forum series explores issues affecting women and girls and provides an opportunity to engage the community.  Committed to using our resources to help broaden the thinking and possibilities about community solutions, we identify speakers and/or issues to bring to our community for education, debate and discussion.

Our most recent forum Organizations Working with Latina Immigrants: Challenges and Opportunities presented findings from a two-year research project exploring how community-based organizations work to advance the well-being of Latina immigrants in Atlanta, Northern Virginia, and Phoenix. The event featured presentations from researchers as well as from organizational leaders in Atlanta working closely with immigrant women.
